As a lover of murder mysteries, and all things horror, I was asked to watch “Bodies Bodies Bodies”, a Horror/Comedy movie directed by Halina Reijn. It featured actors and celebrities that I recognized immediately such as Pete Davidson playing David, Amanda Stenberg playing Sophie, who also starred in “The Hate You Give”, and Maria Bakalova who plays Bee. Who I also recently found out is the voice for the dog Cosmo from Guardians of the Galaxy. Crazy. !Slight spoilers included!

My honest review. I liked it. I would give it a solid 7.5/10. I truly believe it’s a great depiction of Gen Z entering the horror movie scene. Traditional murder mysteries are always so thought out and someone is carefully putting together clues to uncover who the murderer is, the thing about this movie is that there is none of that. It’s pure chaos and it’s great! Honestly what you’d expect from a bunch of rich young adults trying to survive a possible murder among the group. It follows a couple, Bee and Sophie who are traveling to a weekend getaway in the mansion of their friend David. Upon their arrival, there is immediate tension within the group. There’s tension between friends and romantic relationships and the entire time we’re at the edge of our seats wanting to learn what’s going on. Later in the night the group decides to play a game (that we learn they have played before) called Bodies Bodies Bodies. A game that is supposed to imitate a murder mystery with one person as the designated “killer” to find other players and “kill them” with a tap on the back. The game goes well until one of them is discovered dead. The group falls to shambles as secret hatred, lies, and rumors are revealed.

As for the killer, well like I said before, its pure chaos.
