The Meaning Behind Megan Thee Stallion’s “Bigger In Texas” Lyrics Is Tea, Y’all

Megan Thee Stallion just dropped her highly anticipated deluxe album, Megan: Act II, and what fans are buzzing about most is the standout track titled “Bigger in Texas,” where Meg proves once again that she’s just that girl. On Oct. 25, she also released an accompanying music video, and now that the song is out in all its glory, Hotties can’t help but dive into the lyrics to catch all of Meg’s messages.

Meg keeps true to her roots by not just honoring her home state of Texas, but by focusing on her individuality and what distinguishes her from others. She begins with the song’s chorus, addressing the haters and acknowledging that this is an unavoidable circumstance when achieving success. She raps, “Ayy, I’m at the top of my game, I’m who they hate/ This shit come with the fame, that’s how I knew that I made it.” She continues, “I woke up lookin’ this good, I’m in my prime, these n*ggas gotta get played/ If these b*tches ain’t mad, I need to go harder, I can’t let ’em think we the same.” Meg displays confidence throughout the verse, emphasizing the need to be at a higher level than everyone else when it comes to her craft.

Meg comes off strong in the song’s first verse, rapping, Ass sittin’ up like a horse’s, pretty like a portrait, mouth full of diamonds and porcelain/ B*tch, I know I’m gorgeous, lil’ bitty waist, big titties, I don’t need no corset/ Rich off these endorsements, y’all hoes lazy, always worried ’bout a boyfriend.” The line highlights Meg’s appeal while she flaunts her wealth, recognizing that she worked hard to get where she is while others are too busy hunting for love.

Meg continues to highlight her riches in the next lines, rapping, “Pockets gettin’ thickеr and thicker, I’m tastin’ the money, it look likе I ate a few hundreds/I just hopped on a G6, I’m gettin’ head while I’m playin’ my Switch, hm.”

Meg playfully teases her love life as she finds herself in a “no string attached” mindset, rapping, “This n*gga found out about that n*gga, I don’t give a fuck ’cause I’m a pimp, hm.” In the second half of the verse, Meg may be referring to her 2020 release “Girls in the Hood” considering the lyric “B*tch, I look good in throwbacks, I look good chubby, I look good slim, hm” is very similar to the line, “You could check the throwback pics, I been that b*tch (Uh)” from the track. Nonetheless, the line signifies Meg’s acknowledgement of her beauty, regardless of how her appearance changes over time.

She continues, “Ignorin’ the haters that speak on my body, this p*ssy ain’t for none of them/ I pull a hoe scalp back, like a scrunchie, tuned in, you’s gotta be monthly.” This indicates that no one should comment on Megs physique since it’s only for herself. Meg emphasizes the need for haters to back away, saying that many of their critiques are only a reflection of their own insecurities. “A bum b*tch can’t get in my company/ Surrounded by sauce like I’m reppin’ my country/ Projection, whole lotta projectin’/ You do the sh*t that you put on the next b*tch/ Bet against me, f*ck up your parlay/ N*ggas know I’m the biggest investment, hm, ayy,” she raps.

Stallion shuts down speculations about her undergoing plastic surgery or any other cosmetic procedures during the opening of verse two, rapping, “E’rrythang bigger in Texas, ain’t no injections, we at the pole, no elections.” She continues to debunk the lies about her, as well as doubling down on not doing drugs, rapping, “B*tch, don’t come around me tryna pass out drugs, ho, I ain’t poppin’ no Teslas.”  Teslas, sometimes known as Estacy, is a kind of MDMA (3,4 methylenedioxy-methamphetamine) that initially rose to prominence during music festivals and raves.

She continues, “I don’t wanna take no pictures, I don’t get along with these out here bitches, hm/ I don’t even know this h*e but the bitch keep beggin’ me for attention, hm.” Fans speculated that this remark was a dig at rap rival Nicki Minaj, who went on a viral X/Twitter rant against Meg following the release Meg’s song “Hiss” in January 2024

Meg maintains the no strings attached approach as she discusses the men who attempt to get into her life. “This pimp shit ain’t nothin’ new to me, I knew he was for community/ These h*es love to stick around and get they heart broke/ I’ma bounce on a nigga like booty cheeks/Slide down on the dick like new sheets/ Talk him through it, let him know what to do to me/ Y’all h*es treat a nigga like a death row meal, I treat niggas like charcuterie (Ah).”

Meg continues to flaunt her elevated achievement as critics continue to reject her winning. The last line references to Meg’s signed arrangement with Warner Music Group, which allowed her to continue releasing songs independently through Hot Girl Productions while also owning her masters. “Self-made, and sensual, and I’m always on point like a decimal/ Irritatin’ these bitches like eczema, I can hang anywhere like a testicle/ So much winnin’, they thinkin’ it’s rigged, never thought I would do it this big/ I’m the youngest b*tch ownin’ her masters, b*tches always f*cked, stuck in a deal,” she raps.

In the outro, Meg tells haters to worry about themselves and just enjoy her music, saying, “I don’t wanna be your bestie, these h*es messy, always worried ’bout the next b*tch/Always itchin’ for a motherf*ckin’ problem, b*tch h*e, please, go get tested/Always beggin’ me to crash out with these losers, shut up, enjoy this music/ Y’all gon’ learn how I move on my time, and not for none of y’all amusement, hm.”

Meg was definitely spilling some major tea in this track, but let’s just enjoy “Bigger in Texas” and save the fan wars for later!
