Mind over matter

Hey y’all! This post is going to be a little different today. You know I’ve been sitting here thinking about everything, Especially with all that went down in the 2024 election. I’m not going to lie, tensions have been high, and feelings have been raw. Folks mad, hurt, tired… and for real good reasons too. But let me just take a moment to speak to my sisters across the globe, because I see y’all and I feel you deep in my spirit.

Girl, it feels like we’ve been pushed back a thousand steps sometimes, huh? Like every inch we fight for, somebody trying to yank it all away. And whew, that kinda setback? It burns, it drains. But hear me when I say: we can’t, we WON’T give up. What we are fighting for isn’t some passing thing, it’s what’s right. It’s what we DESERVE. We have to keep pushing, keep marching, keep speaking out even when they are trying to hush us up.

I know the world wants to silence our voices. It’s been that way. But baby, don’t ever let them. Your voice? It MATTERS. Loud, soft, angry, hopeful every way you use it matters. You matter. Your body? Oh, it MATTERS. What you decide, how you feel, and what you stand for it all counts, and don’t let anyone make you think otherwise.

We stand on the shoulders of all the women who came before us, who faced worse and still held their heads high. And now it’s our turn to carry that torch, to light the way for the ones who are coming up behind us. So if you’re tired take a breath. Rest if you need to. But don’t ever stop. Keep pushing, mama. Keep speaking out. Keep being the fierce advocate you are not just for yourself, but for every woman who needs to see you fightin’, who needs to know she isn’t alone.

This isn’t just a moment, it’s a movement. One built off of love, resilience, and truth. They might try to shake us, but they can’t break what’s rooted so deep. So raise your head high, sister. Take each step with purpose. Hold each word with power. We are in this together, and together? We are unstoppable.

Keep going,  keep fighting’, and keep being’ that voice for change. I see you. I hear you. I’m right there with you every step of the way. Let’s keep pushing, because we aren’t done yet. Not by a long shot.
