The school year is coming to an end, and juggling midterms, work, and life, in general, can be challenging. I recently found myself wishing I had packed a snack or two for work. I brainstormed a few combinations I’ve made for myself this week. You can make all of these snacks at home in under five minutes. Or make them all at once, and save yourself some extra time during the week!

Here are a few quick snacks you can put together for on the go or even snacks at home.

1. Apple and peanut butter

  • Slice some apples and add peanut butter to your favorite reusable container. Carrots also pair really well with peanut butter. Honestly, anything does…bananas or even pretzels. You can also do a green apple with caramel if you have more of a sweet tooth.

2. Crackers and cheese

  • Pair these with your apple slices, and you’ll have a mini charcuterie board in your lunch box. Slice a few of your favorite cheeses and pair them with pita chips or crackers.

3. Carrots and hummus

  • If you’re not feeling peanut butter, hummus is a great option. You can even add other veggies like cucumbers, bell peppers, or celery. And don’t get me started on Trader Joe’s chocolate hummus. This is perfect with strawberries. Who said healthy couldn’t be yummy?

4. Granola bars

  • These are the quickest and easiest options! Try to go with granola bars with the least ingredients. If you have time, you can even shoot for trying to make your own. Some of my favorites are GoMacro, Luna, and Kind because they are packed with protein.

5. Nature’s cereal

  • Have some of your favorite fruits washed and ready to go. I love to have blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries on deck at all times. I pair them with Harmless Harvest’s coconut water! If you’re feeling bold, you can pull out your coconut water and enjoy some Nature’s cereal during your break.

6. Overnight oats

  • These take a little bit of prep, but I suggest you make a few batches at a time, and they can last you all week. The thing I love about oats is how customizable they are. You can add fruit, nuts or keep it OG with some cinnamon.

7. Trail mix

  • Grab your favorite nuts and dry fruits and make your own trail mix concoction. I love to mix dry cherries, apricots, and prunes with cashews and almonds. Feel free to throw in some m&ms or chocolate of your choice for a sweet treat. Lately, I’ve been going for cacao nibs.

8. Yogurt parfait

  • This is another easy one. Just buy your favorite yogurts and set aside some toppings such as fruit, nuts, and granola. Just pour them into your yogurt when you’re ready, and you’ll have a delicious homemade parfait.

Remember always to have a snack or two ready to go for the week. They’ll save you not only time but also money. You won’t have to worry about running during your break to purchase a last-minute snack, and you’ll be able to leave the house on time!
