As you can tell from the majority of my articles I love to watch movies and TV shows and love writing about them even more. I already wrote an article on my five favorite female characters (TV edition)Â but I love writing it so much that I decided to share my top five female characters on a movie edition!Â
Yes, TV shows are great but who doesn’t love a good movie with a good plot, and most importantly, a badass female as the starring role?! Â
- Elle Woods, Legally BlondeÂ
-
Do not even get me started on Elle Woods! She is one of and kind, a badass, and most importantly: a queen. Elle Woods is played by Reese Witherspoon, one of my favorite actresses, she is the best!Â
Legally Blonde is about a sorority queen named Elle who was dumped by her boyfriend because he thought she was not good enough for him. SO RUDE!
Anyways, Elle decides to follow him into Harvard Law School where she is practicing to become a lawyer and she ends up becoming the best one out of her entire class! I mean, as she should! Â
This is my favorite movie! and I one hundred percent recommend watching this if you have not seen it. Â
- Cher, Clueless Â
-
Ugh, I love this movie! Cher is an icon and this movie is as iconic for so many reasons. The acting, the wardrobe and of course let’s not forget the famous line “Ugh! AS if!”by Cher herself.
Alicia Silverstone plays the role of Cher Horowitz in the movie Clueless. The movie is about a beautiful, wealthy teenager named Cher who lives with her dad and stepbrother in Beverly Hills, California.
Also, I will mention that her stepbrother is young Paul Rudd so that is another reason why you should watch this movie! She is at the peak of her high school class and she befriends a new student named Tai Frasier and even plays matchmaker with her two teachers.Â
This movie is iconic! It is another one of my favorites and of course, young Paul Rudd stars in the movie which makes it ten times better! Â
- Kat Stratford, 10 Things I Hate About YouÂ
-
Another great coming of age movie. I love this movie, I watch it all the time with my friends. It is a classic!Â
10 Things I Hate About You as the title itself explains a lot, is about a young beautiful and quiet girl named Kat Stratford (Julia Stiles) who unfortunately does not attract many boys. As for her sister, Bianca she can only have a boyfriend until her sister Kat has one.Â
Moving on, Kat crosses paths with a boy named Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger). You will just have to watch to find out what happens next! Don’t worry, it is worth the watch, trust me on this one.Â
- Holly Golightly, Breakfast at Tiffany’sÂ
-
Another amazing movie with another amazing actress! This movie is just incredible, I am in love with it!Â
Audrey Hepburn plays Holly Golightly, in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The movie takes place in New York City. The movie is about a young woman living in New York City who is looking for love. So sweet! Holly meets a young man who moves into her apartment building. Unfortunately, the young man who has moved in is with an older woman who is quite wealthy. Do not worry, it gets better!Â
Eventually, the older woman who the young man is with wants someone older. You will have to watch to find out what happens next!Â
-
Vivian Ward, Pretty WomenÂ
Â
-
This is such a good movie! Definitely one of my favorites. My mom and I watch this movie all the time which is why this movie is so special to me!   Â
Pretty Women is about a woman named Vivian (Julia Roberts), a prostitute, and Edward (Richard Gere), a wealthy businessman.
They have feelings for one another, even though they come from different “worlds.” The man, Edward, is on a business trip and he meets Vivian. Then they go and spend the weekend together in L.A., California. Vivian and Edward get closer and realize that they are meant to be!  Â
Pretty Woman is such a good movie and I am obsessed with it! It is one of those movies that gives off that happy vibe and I am all for that!Â
Do not get me wrong there are so many more amazing, beautiful, actresses out there! These are just my favorite ones. I recommend watching all of these movies because you will understand why I am obsessed with not just the film itself, but with the actress and the role they play in their movies! Â
