My younger sister always says to me “Work smarter, not harder Mackenzie.” Of course, her logic applies to simple household tasks such as laundry and homework assignments. However, I apply this philosophy to my nightly makeup and hair routine. So, take a journey with me to lazy girl land and see how I get ready. Although my makeup routine is not intense, I strive to create a natural look.

I begin my routine by washing my face, pretty basic and one of the most crucial steps. After I usually apply some type of BB cream or foundation- yes, I know I am such the makeup guru. Next, I do my eyes. I really have no idea how to apply eye makeup, so I generally just add a swipe of a natural color with a white or silver glimmer. Then, eyebrows and some bronzer! All together this takes me about five to ten minutes. The products I use are the following:

Tarte FOUNDCEALER multi-tasking foundation

Tarte shape tape concealer

Urban Decay NAKED 2 palette

Laura Geller Iconic New York Eyeshadow Collection

Butter Bronzed

Better Than Sex Mascara

Next, I tackle my hair. Despite my lack of makeup skills, my hair routine is a little bit more intense. For the longest time, I used a curling wand. But just recently, I switched to a clamp curling iron and it has changed my life. My end goal is beach waves. After curling my hair to perfection, I spray it with a finishing spray to add volume and keep it in place.

Finally, I pick out my outfit. This is probably the hardest step. I am very indecisive and always try on 5 to 10 outfits before finalizing a look. The top five stores I shop at for clothing are the following:

Missguided

Forever21

Lulu’s

BooHoo

Hollister

Thanks for getting ready with me! Always remember to do it the lazy way! Xoxo
