The Perfect Spring Activities For Each Enneagram

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hawaii chapter.

If you’re like me, I love all the seasons and taking advantage of what they have to offer. But let’s be real- spring is superior. The weather is perfect, nature blooms, and it just feels calm. And since spring is right around the corner, I found an activity for each enneagram to explore this season!

Type 1: Spring cleaning

One’s are known for being perfectionists and self-controlled… So what better than to start your spring cleaning? This is the perfect spring activity for type ones. Go through your closet and figure out the clothes you don’t want and donate them! You’ll feel so relieved after.

Type 2: Host an Easter egg hunt

If you know a type two, then you can probably attest that they are the most loving friend. Twos are called the helper, so they’re known for being caring, generous, and people-pleasing. If you’re a type two and want to do something special for spring, then host an Easter egg hunt! You can easily host a (Covid safe) party for your friends, have an egg hunt, and make easter baskets for them. This will make them feel so special!

Type 3: Join a team or club

Ah, the achiever- we know so many of them. You’ll find them to be driven, success orientated, and always accomplishing a list of never-ending goals. A combination of this plus the amazing spring weather leads to joining a team or club! You love achieving your goals and being in leadership positions. Look for community teams, such as sports, or if you’re a student then try a new club for the spring semester. Just remember to take some breathers here and there!

Type 4: Go to the flea market

As a type four, you can get withdrawn and temperamental at times. And that’s okay! On the other hand, you’re also creative, purposeful, and compassionate. A refreshing activity for spring is to go to flea markets. Spring is the perfect time for flea markets, so take advantage of it! Stroll and reflect, eat healthy food, look at homemade art, and buy local- this is a fulfilling activity for the individualist.

Type 5: Read, read, read

As a type five, you love learning but can be isolated at times. If you want to spend some alone time during this season but want to keep the gears in your mind working, then finish all those books you haven’t had the chance to read yet. Pull up a lawn chair on your lanai, enjoy the sun, and take advantage of your alone time! There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be alone- just remember to let your friends know you’re okay.

Type 6: Camping

I think it’s safe to say that you’re the mom of the friend group. You’re reliable, prepared, and love feeling like you belong. As a type six, you find energy in quality time. So, spend some time with your loved ones this spring and go camping! I know I know, camping?! It’s a push, but you need to try to relax a bit and understand it’s okay to not be prepared for everything. The great part about this is that you get to spend quality time with your friends, have intentional conversations, and be courageous. Take a leap of faith, type six!

Type 7: Take a road trip

As the enthusiast, you love adventure and being spontaneous. You are a magnet for fun! People love you. The perfect spring activity for you is to take a road trip. Flying might not be the safest right now due to Covid, but take a road trip to the spots you’ve always wanted to explore with your friends and you’re set! You love being yourself, talking to your friends, and having new experiences. No FOMO for you!

Type 8: Sleep in

Type eights are known for being the challenger. You are powerful, decisive, and fearless. We could all use a type eight in our lives! But honestly, sometimes you need a break. You can’t solve everything in a day. So, I’m challenging you to start sleeping in more this new season. Just breathe and know that it’s okay to not be in the moment every second. Don’t be so controlling that you lose sight that life is also about freedom. Find a balance between life and rest and you’ll be able to breathe easier.

Type 9: Go on nature walks

You’re the peacemaker. The soft-spoken, charming, reassuring friend. You love harmony! And we all know that one of the best parts of spring is the weather. So don’t spend your time hidden inside, go outside on a long nature walk! Plus, you usually feel energized by calmness and love experiencing nature. What’s better than going outside of your comfort zone while still feeling the reassuring part of nature and friends?

What are you going to be doing this spring?
