You’re tired. You’re stressed. You’re overwhelmed.
Sound familiar?Â
No matter what you’re feeling, it’s getting to the point in the semester where you just want it to end already, so here are some tips to help you stay motivated so you can finish strong!
- Go Outside
-
The weather is getting warmer and the days are getting longer, so take advantage of that. You’re already spending class time staring at a screen, so get outside and get some fresh air!
- The Pomodoro Technique
-
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method that breaks down a task into 25 minute intervals with short, 5 minute breaks in between. After four consecutive 25 minute intervals, take a longer break, 15-30 minutes max. I personally use an app called StudyBreak to help keep track of time.Â
- Make a List
-
Lists help me to stay organized and get my priorities together. I make a different list for each of my classes with assignments and their due dates using the Google Keep app. Anything that is going to be particularly time-consuming, like a paper or a presentation, goes to the top of the list.
- Take Care of Yourself
-
Always remember to give yourself some grace. Take care of yourself. Rest. You cannot expect to be your best self when you aren’t prioritizing your own basic needs.
