I do not know if anyone else can relate to this, but recently I have not been on the music hype. Every popular song is now known as a “tik tok” song, and I am just not into it. I also feel like new music releases have been pushed back due to COVID-19, so there is a limited amount to listen to. Due to this recent music realization, I have been investing more of my time into podcasts.

Maybe it is the quarantine blues and wanting social interaction, but podcasts have lately been my best friend. They are also very educational, and there are so many different categories that anyone can find something they like. With that being said, there are many podcast genres, but these recommendations are just some that make me happy, and I can learn a little something from here to there.

  1. Sibling Revelry- Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson

Sibling Revelry is hosted by brother and sister, Kate and Oliver Hudson. These two famous siblings interview other famous siblings and families and talk about their sibling dynamic, how they grew up, their careers, etc. The podcast has hosted guests such as Paris Hilton and Nicki Hilton, Zooey Deschanel, Emily Deschanel, and many other famous sibling duos. I would recommend this podcast to only children and children with siblings because it really proves how all families have similar struggles, famous or not.

  1. We Bought a House- Finneas O’Connell and Claudia Sulewski

This podcast follows the lives of famous music producer, Finneas, also know for being Billie Eilish’s brother and his YouTuber girlfriend Claudia. The podcast is a very casual listen where the couple tells stories of their day-to-day challenges of adulthood, and sometimes we get a glimpse into O’Connell’s famous sisters’ life. This podcast is a great listen for young adults who are fans of the music star or his YouTuber girlfriend. I would recommend this podcast to anyone who is looking for an introduction to the podcast world.

  1. The Skinny Confidential Him & Her- Lauryn Evarts and Michael Bosstick

This podcast has various guests every week ranging from influencers to doctors. The podcast’s goal is to learn something new every week, ranging from career advice to health advice. This podcast also tackles many trendy health fads and provides real evidence of whether the fad is worth investment. I would recommend this podcast to any person looking for light education regarding how to better their self-care or overall health journey.

Podcasts have really been a savior for me throughout this long quarantine. They are great for walks, working out, long drives, or just day to day activities. They provide a sense of social interaction, which is hard to achieve these days, and they can be very educational. These three podcasts that I recommended are great starters and can be started from any episode. Feel free to listen to them and slowly find your podcast niche. All of these podcasts are accessible through Spotify or apple podcast, happy listening!
