Little Mix is the most popular girl band in the world right now. Although they haven’t completely broken into the U.S in terms of touring and sales, they are incredibly popular pretty much everywhere else. They won Britain’s “X-Factor” in 2011 and have gone on to be very successful. I’ve been a fan of Little Mix since the beginning, but have listened to their music in varying degrees depending on how their sound changed. I can’t say I was a huge fan of their last album, but their newest release, Confetti, has definitely changed my opinion.
- “Sweet Melody”
-
Their most recent single from the album is my overall favorite. Something about it flows so well, and you’ll find yourself playing it more than you thought you would.
- “Happiness”
-
This song focuses on finding love within yourself and, of course, happiness. With an uplifting tone, it won’t fail at putting you in a good mood.
- “A Mess (Happy 4 U)”
-
This may be the catchiest song from the album. With a great chorus that won’t fail to get stuck in your head, I highly recommend it.
- “Nothing But My Feelings”
-
The beat from the very beginning of this song will draw you in. It sticks to their overall pop sound but has something refreshing to it that stands out from their other songs.
- “Gloves Up”
-
The chorus is by far the best part of this song. It’s incredibly empowering and would be great for a workout playlist.
- “Holiday”
-
This is another single off the album that doesn’t disappoint. It’s definitely a summer song, but one that should be remembered for summer 2021 playlists.
Although there are definitely a lot of love songs on this album, I love the number of additional songs that center on self-love and empowerment.
Little Mix may not be a go-to for everyone, but for me, it’s great music to lift my mood or exercise with.
