Boss Mind Empire: The Upcoming Org at GSU

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Georgia Southern chapter.

We are at the cusps of midterms and many of us can feel the heavy pressure of every responsibility pressing against us. During these times, it’s important–yet extremely difficult– to keep our heads above water and take care of ourselves mentally and emotionally. Sometimes this can feel like an extremely lonely journey but, Dyl Brown, the president and founder of Boss Mind Empire (BME) at Georgia Southern, strives to create a public platform for students to come together and support each other through moments of anxiety, doubt, and confusion.

While this is a baby organization–just started before the pandemic–plans to help the college community are still there and striving. This club is for students, by students; working to promote and encourage positive mental health among students alike. Due to the pandemic, students were, and still are, struggling to get back on good mental standing and BME is here to create a safe space for everyone.

BME has created its own blog, Boss Mind Empire Blog, to provide mental health tips as well as resources on campus for your use! In addition to the blog, meetings and events are geared towards pushing you out of your comfort zone safely as you grow as an individual. Some activities in group meetings include journal writing and goal setting. As mentioned previously, Boss Mind Empire is a baby organization but it is growing little by little and can always use your support!
