Many of us are doing another remote semester, or at least one with greatly reduced socializing. Your typical routine can get mind-numbingly boring if you don’t jump in front of it and see what can be updated.
First, the cliche: Bake, cook, do virtual meetups with friends, ….
Ok great. Now for something a little bit different.
Challenge yourself and your friends. – Staying fit is so much easier if you’re working hard with someone else. – Have you finished the Great British Bake-off? Recreate it with your family and friends. – Learn a new language. – Be wary of cutting your bangs… – Redecorate your room (for perhaps the millionth time) – Run a marathon. – Plan for post-pandemic life. – Make a music video. – Start a nonprofit. – …. – Okay these have started to get a little grand, but you get the idea.
The main point is to be creative and think about ways to mix up your routine.
Having a project to work on can keep you focused, help you organize your time, and get you excited during an arguably stressful time. Even if it is personal and not shared all over social media, it can still be a rewarding development in your life.
Besides, a little change is healthy!
