It’s been almost 60 days since I was last on campus, and to say I miss it is an understatement. The last few weeks of staying at home and getting used to finishing of my senior year online has been harder than I thought. I have been going through a serious case of writer’s block but I guess I finally found the right words to type out. This being the last week of classes ever for those of us graduating this semester, I just wanted to say thanks and bid farewell to Stony Brook.
Thank you Stony Brook for the past four years of tears, failures, smiles, success, learning and most importantly friends. These few years of living in a new town, meeting new people, and stepping on territory I never thought I’d venture into turned out to be some of the best decisions I have made. So, thank you for helping me learn a bit about myself. Thank you for making me a better cook to avoid the dining halls yet still always finding my way back to SAC for a slice of pizza. Thank you for giving me friendship which started from crying over organic chemistry and physics together. Thank you for the strawberry fest, game nights, Roth Regatta and almost getting Roddy Rich and Hasan Minhaj on campus.
As we go through this trying times together, I am so proud to know all that we are doing together as a community. The biggest Thank you to our healthcare team and all the medical staff working; you guys are the best!
Not sure when I’ll see you again but hope it’s soon.
Thank you for everything Stony Brook and its only Goodbye until I see you again.
