During unprecedented times you have the opportunity to figure out who you are and what you want to do for the rest of your life. Some people may say that you have interests and then you have a career; however, if you’re willing to work hard enough, your passion can drive your career. For some people, discovering your passion may be easier than others, but being in school allows you to try different things and find what you enjoy most in life. Here are ways in which you can begin your journey of discovering your true passion.

-
Try new things
There are great opportunities available for college students. From organizations on campus to jobs and internships off-campus, the world is at your fingertips, so make the most of it. Pick up a hobby or try new activities you may have never considered. Be willing to explore.Â
-
Be open to change
When figuring out your calling in life your daily routine may change, and that’s fine. The best things in life occur after a change has been made, so be open to the process of finding your purpose.
-
Do whatever makes you feel like you could do it for the rest of your life
While coming together with a list or idea of things that you believe are your passion in life, take the time to consider whether you could imagine yourself doing said activity for the rest of your life. A lot of people pursue their chosen careers and can’t stand going to work each day. When you choose your career wisely and align it with your passions, you won’t even think about your career as a job.
-
Keep an open mind
When you are seeking different options for a career and finding your passion, don’t get discouraged because something might seem intimidating or not your style. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, so at least take one. Something you might have never considered at first may be what you’re destined to do after all.
-
Have a plan
It’s fun being able to work somewhere that allows you to pursue your dreams, however don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Always have a plan B and C if things don’t work out so you can protect yourself financially. Also speak with people you trust who will offer the best advice on your journey.

It can be difficult trying to figure out your niche when it seems everyone and their mother has everything planned out to perfection. But this is an exciting journey, make it a great one. Try all the things you never considered and step outside of your comfort zone.
