As this past year was coming to an end, and I was getting to receive a new one, I found myself reflecting on how last year was, as probably many of you were. We were on the verge of making New Year’s resolutions, thinking that it was the best time for a fresh start. Some of us were either being grateful for how wonderful last year was, or we couldn’t wait for the countdown to see the date January 1st, 2020. It’s February now, and a lot of people have given up on their resolutions. Even then, it’s important to keep certain things in mind.

Although I believe that every day we open our eyes is a chance for a fresh start, I sincerely wish the following for this new year:

May the past stay in 2019 as the new year approaches with a new dawn.

May we embrace our future and its challenges with a courageous heart and mind.

May we learn to forgive those who hurt us and forget all the hurtful deeds done to us.

May we dismiss the people that no longer fill our lives with positivity, and may we welcome all who makes us feel happy and at peace.

May we be unafraid to try new things and those that scare us.

May we be willing to fail, but may we also have the strength to rise, learn, and move forward.

May we commit to our goals and persist until we achieve them.

May we be light in times of darkness.

May we give without expecting anything in return.

May we be good friends, family members, partners, and citizens.

May we find balance with work, school, social life, and self-care.

May we treat each other and ourselves with love and respect.

May we have compassion, empathy, patience, and tolerance.

May we be considerate of others’ time, opinions, beliefs, and feelings.

May we spend less time on our phones connecting online and more time connecting with each other.

May we be humble.

May we be good listeners.

And, in such a world, may we never turn our backs on what’s different from us and may we respect, understand, and make room for one another because the world needs to be big enough for everyone.

I wish you an amazing 2020! Lots of love and good vibes always!

I believe in spreading light and positivity anywhere we find ourselves. I encourage self-love and in lifting our sisters up to be better, stronger, and more confident women. For that, I'm excited to be part of this platform that will allow me to voice my thoughts and share them with amazing ladies interested in starting conversations. Lots of love and positive vibes to everyone.
