Over the past few months, I have been saving various posts on Instagram which I have wanted to remember as I head into a new year. 2020 is about self-growth and self love. Here are a few of the posts that really stood out to me.Â

I’m learning to accept that not all people are meant for you. Or that certain people are only meant to stay in your life for a short amount of time. In 2020, I would like to learn to stop over analyzing a person’s actions because sometimes they are exactly what they seem to be. In 2020, I would like to remember “One wrong vibe is a red flag. But two? I’m out”.

I’m sure that after being home with family over the holidays, we were all asked this question a few times. In 2020, I want to remember that it’s okay to have no idea what you want to do and that I’m able to take the time to figure things out. I want to remember to be patient, and that everything will eventually fall into place. I don’t need to have the answer to everything. Source: alison.malee
In 2020, it’s important to remember to be thankful for the situation you’re currently in. Things could always be worse. So, when you catch yourself complaining about your life or your day, start thinking of some good things that have happened. Try to focus more on the positives. Wake up and go to bed each day with the appreciation of your life and those around you.Â

In 2020, learn to celebrate more. Celebrate all victories, big or small, with your friends and family. Choose to take a break, and cut yourself some slack. You deserve some celebration, you deserve a night out to laugh with your friends. In 2020, learn to not take things so seriously. Source: allnewsinc
I saved this picture because well, it’s Ryan Reynolds. But it also stood out to me. In 2020, I would like to learn to step out of my comfort zone. It’s okay to not be like everybody else. We should all learn to laugh at ourselves more, and to take pride in our choices which make us who we are. So what if you’re the only one with an ugly Christmas sweater on? Own it! Ryan Reynolds sure does. Source: lifting.with.laura
This is for both women and men. In 2020, let’s wake up everyday feeling thankful for our bodies, because they give us the ability to function throughout the day, to move around and see the world. In 2020, I would like to remember that bloating is normal, and that as I continue to age, my body is continuously changing and that is both normal and okay. Source: megansstudies
Strive to make sure your 2020 a year of organization. Set yourself up for success, in your studies, your career, and in general, your life. You get out what you put in. Â

A definite goal we should each strive to attain everyday is to drink more water. I just happen to love this saying. In 2020, let’s drink more water and keep to ourselves. Focus on your own goals in each aspect of your life.
Just as a PSA, drinking water flushes toxins from the body and helps to clear your skin.Â

I see this saying quite frequently but i think it’s important to remember to make yourself a priority. In 2020, let’s start treating ourselves right and loving ourselves properly to get that glow. You don’t need someone else to give it to you. It should all come from you. In 2020 let’s strive for wholeness. Happiness isn’t a permanent state.Â
This list could go on and on. The important thing to remember is to make your 2020 a year of self growth and creation. Let’s try to learn from our mistakes and become better than the person we were yesterday.Â
