Best Holiday Gifts to Buy When You’re On A Budget

As the holiday season goes on, it also means time for shopping for the perfect gifts for your loved ones. And, if you are a struggling college student, it can be even more difficult to find the perfect gift for everyone without having to break the bank. Fear not as Pinterest and other websites can be great for coming up with good and creative ideas for gifts without having to clean out your bank account.  Below are the top 4 ideas I found for gifting on a budget while doing my research on Pinterest:

 

1. A nice framed picture or poster

Framed photos can be a great gift for loved ones. All you need to do is find a picture that you think they would love or have meaning to them, print it out, and find the perfect frame. Whether you are the creative type and love to DIY or prefer to buy a frame (you can buy one at TJMaxx for $3.99), it is a thoughtful gift that can have long-lasting use. Also, if you have a friend or family member who is a big fan of a TV show, fil, etc., a poster for their wall would be a great gift. 

 

2. Christmas socks

For those you know with the most Christmas spirit, socks can be a great gift for them. Places like Marshalls, Walmart, Target, and Amazon, they sell packs of Christmas socks for as low as $3.99 so you can get them for everyone on your list.

3.) A journal or notebook with a personal note

If you happen to know any avid writers, a journal or notebook can be a great gift to help them express their creativity and encourage them to write. If you want to make it a more meaningful gift, write them a note in the front to tell them how much they mean to you this holiday season. I received a notebook from my sister a few years ago for Christmas and she wrote me a lovely note inside. Even though it was not a very complex gift, it meant so much to me knowing she cared about me and wanted to encourage me as a writer. 

 

4.) Baked goods

Baked goods are always my go-to this holiday season, as they are super easy to make and people always love them. It costs much less to buy the ingredients to make these delicious goodies and all the people you know with a sweet tooth will be sure to love them. Pinterest is filled with awesome holiday baking ideas, so I highly recommend scrolling through to find the one you like best.

 

Whether you choose to DIY your gifts or go shopping on a budget, there are so many gift options that are affordable to all. All you need to do is go out and look, the resources are not too far away!
