As college students, it is easy to get caught up with the stress and the constant influx of work. Our focus is always on what we have to do, the little time that we have, and, likely, the small fortune of student loans we have to look forward to. We get so preoccupied that our we often forget to be thankful for the time, opportunities, and privileges that we have. Although we shouldn’t need a season or a holiday to make us consider our thankfulness, the month of November is the perfect time to consider our fortunes, as it is a time that our stress is heightened, and we need to reflect and re-collect ourselves.

Even when life looks bleak, there is always something to be grateful for. Everyday we have something that changes our lives, whether it is a friend who is there for you when you need it most, a stranger who offers you a random act of kindness on your way to class, or even just your Keurig for making coffee so you don’t have to wake up early to go to Starbucks. Thankfulness is not just one day.
