Yeah, you heard me right…apparently Spongebob’s grouchy friend (honestly more like his enemy) will now have his very own show.Following the release of Disney+, Nickelodeon has announced a deal with Netflix worth $200 million dollars. The two companies are set to make a new series, which will be a spin-off from the SpongeBob Squarepants universe.
The spin-off will follow SpongeBob’s sarcastic neighbor and even though public information about it is limited, the series is going to be a “music-based” project. Maybe the new series focuses on Squidward’s love for his clarinet? I honestly can’t imagine what the series will look like but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
