The Best Things Post Halloween

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Ithaca chapter.

Halloween is great, don’t get me wrong. I love the sweaters, pumpkins, and cooler weather. The costumes, candy, and pumpkin-flavored everything never get old. But, the time Halloween is just as fun as the weeks leading up to it.

Immediately following Halloween is November, where we were to transition from fall to winter. Thick sweaters and puffy jackets always make me feel so cozy. Its finally starting to get consistently chilly out, which is the perfect weather to take your hot chocolate to class.

Waking up on a chilly Sunday morning under swaths of thick fuzzy blankets and drinking a hot cup of tea while the snow begins to fall is my favorite kind of day. You can wear your favorite sweaters, scarves, and boots without freezing and can enjoy the best time of the year.

Soon enough after the beginning of November, it becomes time to prepare for the holidays. Decorating your room with cute Christmas lights and little trees is so much fun, and baking cookies and pies with your friends is always a tasty adventure. The way the oven warms up kitchen and pumps the delicious smells throughout the entire spaces always brings a smile to my face.

Fall has to be my favorite season, but the special type of fall that comes after Halloween is always better. The ultimate cozy weather that follows October always makes me feel at home, and I hope you start to appreciate it too!
