What year are you in and what are you studying at the University of Nottingham?
I’m in my third year and I study International Media and Communication studies.
What is your position at Her Campus this year?
I’m the Head of Publicity and Events.
What do you like about Her Campus Nottingham?
I love how much freedom you get to write about whatever you want. I felt quite restricted and anxious when I tried to write for other magazines, but Her Campus is a lot more encouraging and open.
Are you a night in or a night out kinda person?
Definitely a night in person. I do like to go out and socialize sometimes, but I just love being in my comfy pyjamas at home watching Netflix or reading a good book.
Why did you decide to join the Her Campus Nottingham team?
I love that Her Campus is aimed at a female audience! I feel like there’s a lot I have to say and write about as a woman that I wouldn’t necessarily have been able to
share on another platform.
What are you most scared of?
Spiders. Definitely spiders. My ability to think rationally just disappears when I see one.
Where are you originally from (home town)?
I’m from Nairobi in Kenya also known as the City Under the Sun, which is why the weather in Nottingham really depresses me.
