On Sep. 19, Sabrina Claudio announced the release date of her fourth album, Truth Is. With 11 tracks and several co-writers (all featured in illustrations on the album cover), the Latina artist has taken a step out of her comfort zone while still holding onto the enchanting and melodic vocals that make her sound unique. A Miami native, Claudio began her career by creating covers of songs and uploading them on SoundCloud. She released her first album, Confidently Lost, in 2016 and began gaining attention in 2017 when she released the single “Unravel Me,” which was featured on her second album About Time. Since then, the singer/songwriter’s fan base has steadily grown.

Upon the announcement of her new album, Claudio released the title track “Truth Is,” which serves as an explanation of the overall project. “The song is about emotions we often think of but are afraid to voice – the feelings we try to convince ourselves we don’t feel. Those two words, truth is, symbolize everything this album is about,” she stated in an interview with Billboard. Highlighting vulnerability and honesty, Claudio’s newest project acknowledges the significance of the feelings that women have, as well as the importance of accepting these emotions. With a range of styles and voices from various co-writers and producers such as Julia Michaels, Simon Wilcox, Stephan Moccio, Stint and Nolan Lombroza, fans are sure to relate to the new music in more ways than one.
Truth Is also features three of Claudio’s previously released singles “Holding the Gun,” “On My Shoulders” and “As Long As You’re Asleep.” Two of these she released visual projects for, which you can watch here. Expected to be her most vulnerable and collaborative project yet, Truth Is will be released across all platforms on Oct. 4th and is available here for pre-order now. In the meantime, Claudio has been occupied on her album titled tour which kicked off two days following the announcement of the project. The tour will travel through the U.S., Canada and Europe from now until late November, allowing plenty of promotion for her new project.
