I Tried Bondi Sands For A Week… Here’s How It Went

Bondi Sands is an award winning self tanning brand from Australia. They have created a salon quality formula that you can buy at Walgreens! They have a variety of products for really affordable prices. They sent us three of their tanning foams, liquid gold oil, their tan remover, and a tanning mitt to try out. I tried all of these products and loved them!

As someone who is not a very experienced self tanner, I have tried a few products and had a few spray tans, but I wouldn’t call myself an avid tanner, I was eager to try out these products. I have extremely pale and fair skin that does nothing but turn red when it’s exposed to the sun. Bondi Sands was a game changer!

The products are super easy to use and quick to apply. I started out by trying the Liquid Gold Self Tanning Dry Oil. I applied it all over my skin using the reusable tanning mitt they included in the package. You see an instant glow and bronze to your skin upon applying the oil.  The oil dries instantly and your color continues to develop for the next 2-3 hours, then lasts about a week. There is no need to wash the product off after using it. I loved the glow it gave me, but I still wanted more.

I decided to try the Tan Eraser next. This is a lightweight foam that you apply all over the areas of your skin where you want to remove your tan. You leave it on for about five minutes and then rinse it off with warm water, and your tan rinses away with it. I decided to try this out so I could start over with a fresh base to test the rest of the products.

Next I tried the Light/Medium Tanning Foam and was instantly hooked. You apply the foam all over your skin for an even streak free tan. The foam instantly tints your skin so you know when you missed a spot. With the ultra hydrating factor and coconut sent, your skin doesn’t feel or smell like harsh tanning chemicals are all over it. I let the tan sit for about five hours before I rinsed with warm water. I was left with a great bronzed color evenly spread all over my skin. Image Via Hanna Goldstein

A few days later, after a few showers, as the tan began to fade, I decided to try out one last product. I upped the stakes and applied the Dark Tanning Foam. As someone with really pale skin I was worried that this would leave me looking like I had a fake orange tan on, but it was completely the opposite. I left the color on for about four hours before I rinsed with warm water. This color gave me an even richer bronze that still looks completely natural. I have gotten so many compliments about how tan I look and everyone equates it to that I must be spending a lot of time at the beach. The tans looks completely natural.

Bondi Sands is a game changer in the self tanning world and a product nobody should have to go without. If you’re like me and no matter how hard you try you cannot tan by laying in the sun, these products will be your best friend. With easy application, a great smell, variety of products, and affordability, there is no reason Bondi Sands shouldn’t be in everyone’s life.
