You are the light,

the brilliance at daybreak.

Your luster cloaks the cloudless sky,

wherever, whenever,

to the places you go,

the people you meet,

and lingers

You are the star,

the borealis at dusk.

Your heat illuminates the ethereal night

whenever, wherever,

to the places you leave,

the people you left,

and blazes.

I am the dark,

the eclipse at noon.

My shadow haunt the distant sky,

whenever, wherever,

to the places I pass,

the people I see,

and lurks.

I am the void,

the rift at dawn.

My iniquity spoils the starry night,

wherever, whenever,

to the places I stay,

the people I touch,

and mars.

Let me in,

and we’ll make twilight,

even if we never intertwine.

Tell me what light is without the dark,

or define dark in the absence of light.
