In the short teaser, Joe, Nick and Kevin are singing “Burnin’ Up” and a teaser of their new song “Sucker,” which I already know all the words for. March 4 – 8 is the special Jonas Brothers week on Carpool Karaoke. Excuse me while I retreat back into my 13-year-old self.

In the video, Nick Jonas talked about how long they have been planning this reunion, “It’s nice to finally be able to tell somebody. We’ve kept this a secret for maybe 7-8 months. This is basically our first performance back.” Wait a minute, wait a minute – they knew they were going to do this FOR 8 MONTHS? As Kevin’s first and only wife, I am very offended that my husband didn’t tell me this was in the works. “We’ve got to dust off the cobwebs. Here we go,” Kevin stated after Nick. Me too, Kevin. Catch me changing all of my handles to “JonasBrosFAN.”
The song released last night and they also dropped a video for it that shocked everyone. The song talks about how the JoBros would do anything for their wives, i.e. they’re suckers for their wives. Also, the song contains the musical styles of all three brothers, and it’s seriously amazing to listen to. The video has the same context. The music video features not only the Jonas Brothers but their wives and fiancé too. They are doing household chores while the wives are telling them how and what to do. Kevin’s wife, Danielle Deleasa, Joe’s fiancé, Sophie Turner and Nick’s wife, Priyanka Chopra are all wearing puffy pink dresses and accessories like scarves or sunglasses.
After the band split in 2013, Nick, Joe and Kevin all moved on with their lives. Nick went on to release two solo albums titled Nick Jonas (2014) and Last Year Was Complicated (2016). He and his wife, Chopra, originally met on the cast of Kingdom. They started dating earlier in 2018 and then got married this past December.
Joe also continued to make music, but he created the pop band DNCE with three other people. Since then, he and his band have released a few singles and one album. In 2018, he joined the Australian version of The Voice as a coach, a year after being a mentor on the American version. Joe is also engaged to actress Sophie Turner who stars in Game of Thrones as Sansa Stark and they are planning to get married later this year.
Kevin, meanwhile, didn’t continue to make music, but he filmed two seasons of the E! reality series Married to Jonas with wife Danielle, with whom he shares daughters Alena, 5, and Valentina, 2.
Overall, this new era of Jonas Brothers has brought a lot of new feelings back to the surface – a lot of questions too, like can we expect more music? A tour? And most importantly, will there be a remake of Jonas in our future? For now, we will just have to settle for “Sucker” on repeat.
