So Valentine’s Day is creeping up fast, and you’ve having this fling. You two have hit it off pretty well but have yet to DTR (define the relationship). A label-less relationship of any sort can be awkward, and with Valentine’s Day falling two weeks after your first few dates, it doesn’t exactly seem fair. Although you might be unsure about where you and your significant other stand this year, every girl deserves to be showered in chocolates and roses on Valentine’s Day, right?

Is the relationship exclusive?

The first step to figuring out if they’re worthy of being your valentine is to make sure you’re the only one in the picture. If they’re hooking up with other people, and you, there’s a strong chance that they aren’t ready for anything serious. Valentine’s day is a holiday dedicated to that special someone, and if that someone is sleeping around, WE DON’T WANT EM. A true valentine will make you a priority. We only want the real ones, ladies.

Do we really like this one?

Of course you like them, but do you really like them? There are red flags and then there are deal breakers. Make sure to read them out – its so easy to be blinded by lust. That being said, there’s a lot that goes into a Valentine’s Day date. You want to make sure all the effort is worth it. No pressure though, this date could give you the answer you’ve been needing. Play the game at your own risk.

What’s their FBP rating?

Not to be shallow, but this one is so important. An FBP rating stands for face, body, personality. These are the reasons you keep coming back for more and more. They’ve got to be able to make your heart skip a beat and make you laugh. Triple 10’s are very rare in this sad, sad world, so go easy on them. Remember, personality matters the most.

All in all, Valentine’s Day can be a great chance to learn a lot about this new person. Dating is all about learning what you want in a partner and even learning things about yourself. While you’re young, it is so important to take risks. Love is a risk, and putting yourself out there is a real challenge. If you are feeling good about someone right before V-day, then fuck it. It’s never too soon to call someone your valentine. Life is too short, so have fun, be young and take chances. Next year is not guaranteed.
