Tampons can be great for women who feel comfortable using them, but some women don’t like to use tampons because of how it feels, the environmental impact, or their own personal values. I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to keep using pads! Below are some alternatives to tampons.
1. Thinx
Thinx are great for women who don’t want to keep spending money on buying pads or tampons. Instead, you can get a few pairs of Thinx underwear, which absorb everything. The best part is, they’re reusable! Just pop them in the washer and they come out fresh and clean, ready to use again.
2. Diva Cups
Diva Cups are another reusable tampon alternative! They function the same way as a tampon, except they don’t absorb anything. When it’s time to clean it out, you do just that. Remove the Diva Cup, rinse it out, and insert it again. Many women say that they barely feel it, and it’s another great way to save your money and the environment!
3. Lily Cups
Very similar to a Diva Cup, the Lily Cup does the same thing, but it comes in a collapsible version for easier storage! It comes in a variety of different sizes, depending on what you need, and even has cups for beginners to help you get more comfortable using menstrual cups.
4. Reusable Tampon Applicator
If you don’t use tampons because of the environmental repercussions, there are reusable tampon applicators you can use to decrease the amount of plastic waste you produce. After you’re done, just rinse it off and you’re good to use it again later!
