Turanoom is so personable; whenever I see her on campus she always stops to say hi. I’m also amazed at her ability to juggle so many roles and tasks each semester. She’s involved in so many extracurricular activities I had to share some of the roles she is involved in, on campus and off!

Why did you choose Bryn Mawr, and why did you choose to stay?
I chose Bryn Mawr because I wanted to go to a liberal arts school and I really liked the campus when I came to visit as a prospective student. I chose to stay because I really enjoyed my classes and the friends I made throughout the years.
What’s your favorite memory from your time at Bryn Mawr?
I would say hanging out with friends outside or inside Bryn Mawr! Also, May Day is always memorable!
What’s your favorite way to relax? / What’s your favorite method of self-care?
Making sure that I am not always in my room or studying alone. I think it is helpful to have a change in space whether that is studying at Starbucks in Bryn Mawr town or going out into Philly restaurants.
Explain your role at The Shipley School and how you got involved.
At Shipley I am a classroom assistant for the after-school program. I facilitate organized activities while implementing rules to ensure students’ safety. I heard about this position through a friend!
What are some other activities you are involved with on campus?
I am a Hall Advisor, Student Manager at Phonathon, and the Vice President for MSA (Muslim students association).
What are your favorite spots in Bryn Mawr or Philly?
In Philly, I like to go to Rittenhouse Square or the Magic Gardens! At Bryn Mawr, I really like the patio behind Rhoads.
