2018 was a huge year for Her Campus Vanderbilt. Our chapter started out the year as a reinvented and reinvigorated version of what HC Vanderbilt used to be. Now, one year later, we’ve gotten even bigger and better. Once we finally got over all the nostalgia, we came together to come up with some great, personal New Year’s resolutions for 2019. These four were my favorites:
“Trusting myself and my intuition more! This year I want to learn how to trust and embrace my intuition as I grow into my sense of self” — Abigail Roux, contributor
“Instead of doing a New Year’s resolution this year, I’m doing a 21 day fast with my church. I gave up bread and sweets. It’s been rough, but day 21 is right around the corner” — Maddi Edwards, staff writer
“I’m trying to procrastinate less: go to the library sooner after I end class and more frequently to just crank out work. So essentially I have more free time instead of doing work while socializing” — Katie Alpert, marketing and events director
“I want to spend the year figuring out what I want. What I want in a relationship, what I want in my career, what I want when it comes to my health, and what I want in life in general. 2020 should be the year of actualizing my life’s intentions, and I can’t do that if I don’t spend 2019 figuring out what those intentions are” — Muna Ikedionwu, editor-in-chief
