It’s hard to believe that it’s almost Christmas! A great way to celebrate the end of the term and finals is to decorate your room for the Holidays! These decorations can help make your space feel more like home if you’re staying on campus. However, they can also spruce up your dorm and make it festive to make your remaining time on campus feel like Christmas. 

 

1) Icicle Lights

These lights are currently under $10 and fill the room with a soft glow! They’re great for adding a small amount of frost to your dorm. You can use some command hooks to hang them and remove them with ease.

2) Mini Table Top Christmas Tree

Perfect for those who don’t have much space to decorate, but still want the feeling of a Christmas tree in their dorm. Choosing a tabletop tree will allow you to place it in numerous spots in your dorm, without having to move all your furniture! Find a tree that comes with ornaments and change it up by adding some of your own. 

3) Christmas Stocking

Find a place in your dorm for you and your roommate to hang Christmas Stockings. Just like adding artwork to a wall, they will provide a great accent to the room. Take advantage of the opportunity to buy each other stocking stuffers for the holiday to fill them up. 

4) Ornament Wreath

Deck out the halls (pun intended!) by adding a little festivity to your door! An ornament wreath will make your door stand out from the crowd and is a great opportunity to spread your holiday joy with the floor.  Added bonus, you can use a command hook for easy hanging.

5) Glitter Snowflakes

Change it up and use ornament snowflakes to create a wall full of flurries! While this may not be their original use, you can use decorative snowflakes to add cheer to a boring wall. Don’t be afraid to leave them up after Christmas to embrace the entire winter season. 

 

You may be feeling homesick, You may be stressing about finals or celebrating that they are over. Or you may just want to add a little festivity to your dorm. Don’t be afraid to look use budget-friendly items as these only come out once a year and they are often a perfect opportunity to add a bit of creativity to the tradition of Christmas.
