Why did you choose Belmont?

I’m in love with the city of Nashville, and I quickly knew that a small, liberal arts school would fit me best. I also wanted to go somewhere and meet new people, so I pushed myself to come to a school out of state.

What’re your career goals?

I hope to make it big as a publisher one day! I would love to work at a Publishing company in a big city like New York.

Favorite place to go in Nashville?

It is cliche, but the pedestrian bridge never gets old to me! I’m also a big fan of Frothy Monkey.

Do you have any hobbies?

You can’t go wrong with netflix.

What’s your favorite class you’ve taken at Belmont?

I am an English Literature Major, so I really enjoyed taking American Literature and American Romanticism.

Top 3 favorite bands?

Local Natives, The Head and the Heart, Bon Iver

Favorite Movie?

A Beautiful Mind and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

Favorite quote?

“You will hardly know who I am or what I mean,

But I shall be good health to you nevertheless,

And filter and fibre your blood.

Failing to fetch me at first keep encouraged,

Missing me one place search another,

I stop somewhere waiting for you.”

Favorite Food?

Macaroni and Cheese

What would you say to someone considering joining the HC team?

Join!!! This is a great organization to be a part of, whether you want to work with social media, writing, or editing! I have thoroughly enjoyed my short time on the HC team and look forward to many more opportunities through this organization.

Belmont '20

Hi! I am Kirsten, and I am a junior here at Belmont University in Nashville. I love to read and write, and hope to find my place in the Publishing industry after graduation. In addition to becoming a publisher, I have the pipe dream of being a world traveller and visiting as many countries as possible. I'm always down to talk books, movies, and debate politics for fun. Thanks for reading!
Rachelle is a junior at Belmont University. She is studying music therapy and has a minor in psychology and hopes to work in hospice someday. Along with writing, she enjoys reading, learning new musical instruments, and spending time with friends.
