There is no good in Tinder, unless you’re looking for a quick and awkward hookup. Tinder matches two people based on age group, gender, and location. Nothing of the sorts guarantees a great connection. Without further ado, let’s jump into the confusing, weird and sometimes dangerous world that is Tinder.

So, you’re telling me “he doesn’t even go here?” Yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying. Although looking for the best in people is a great quality to foster, it can also make someone naĂŻve. Just because Josh from Tinder has a Harvard sweatshirt does not mean that he goes to Harvard. Tinder is an app of catfish catastrophe. Be smart! If your gut tells you no, follow it.

Being swipe happy always ends badly

What’s the worst thing ever? Swiping left on a hot guy. We’ve all been there. As you continuously swipe left on fives you accidentally swipe left on a ten. That was your chance at ultimate happiness, you could go back but is the 2.99 rewind worth it? Probably not. What’s worse than swiping left on a hot guy? Super liking a left swipe.

Guys say things that make you feel uncomfortable

One friend who shall remain nameless said one guy asked her, “Are you a virgin?” If that doesn’t make you want to curl up into a ball and never speak to another man again, I don’t know what will! How do you just slip that into a conversation after knowing someone for a whole 12 hours? How do you normalize such a vulnerable question? Tinder is known as a hook up culture because of people like this who center their conversation on sex.

It is insanely addicting.

Whether we like it or not in this age of Internet, dating apps are a thing. For all the girls out there who are obsessed with swiping, you are not alone. We all enjoy the feeling of a new match and a sweet message from a cute guy. It gives us a feeling of hope in a world where finding the one seems impossible. As Gretchen would say Tinder is “so fetch”, at least for now.
