As college students, there are many things we should be doing. Do we do them? Well, probably not.
1. Get assignments done on time
Yes, it would be nice to finish that five page paper days before it is due, but that most likely will not happen. Procrastination usually takes over, and before you know it, you’re writing the paper the night before it’s due and staying up until 5 a.m.
2. Get enough sleep
Getting eight hours of sleep sounds like a luxury more than something that actually happens regularly these days. This is due to choosing netflix over school work, which then leads to lack of sleep. Vicious cycle.
3. Eat healthy
Eating healthy sounds great until you actually have to do it. While some people have the patience and time to do so (which is great) some people (like myself) would rather choose the convenience of microwavable macaroni and cheese over something healthier because it is quick. I don’t have time for anything else (but I do have enough time to watch Netflix, go figure).
4. Drink enough water
Yes, the concept sounds nice. But then you actually have to go through with it and then it seems more like a job.
5. Limit how much time you spend on your phone
I always tell myself that I should limit the amount of time I spend switching between Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat, but that never happens. The thought is nice, and I would be more productive, but I am hopelessly addicted.
Yes, these are all important things to do! We should drink water , and get enough sleep, as well as eat healthier . But life always gets in the way, so it’s easier said than done.
