At her recent stop in Chicago for her Reputation tour, Taylor Swift shared a special message with her fans in honor of Pride Month.
After singing a few of her old hits, such as “You Belong With Me,” and new hits, like “Look What You Made Me Do,” Swift delivered a heartfelt and emotional speech with her fans before performing her latest single, “Delicate,” PEOPLE reports.
“It’s very brave to be vulnerable about your feelings in any sense [and] in any situation, but it’s even more brave to be honest about your feelings and who you love when you know that that might be met with adversity from society,” Swift said while wearing a sparkly, rainbow dress.
“This month and every month I want to send my love and respect to everybody who has been brave enough to be honest about how they feel, to live their lives as they are, as they feel they should be, as they identify,” Swift continued.

“This is a month where I think we need to celebrate how far we’ve come, [but] we also need to acknowledge how far we still have left to go. I want to send my love and respect out to everybody who in their journey in their life hasn’t felt comfortable enough to come out, and may you do that in your own time. And may we end up in a world where everyone can live and love fully, and no one has to be afraid to be vulnerable to say how they feel,” Swift said to the crowd of 52,000.
“When it comes to feelings and when it comes to love and searching for someone to spend your whole life with … it’s all just really, really delicate …. you know?” Swift concluded, and began to sing her song “Delicate.”
According to Popsugar, Swift’s heartfelt speech left fans interpreting the lyrics to “Delicate” in a whole new way.
Following her concert, which ended in a magical way as it started to rain during her mash-up of “Long Live” and “New Year’s Day,” Swift thanked her fans on social media for coming out to her sold-out shows in Chicago, PEOPLE reports.
“We haven’t had a proper rain show in years and tonight was so magical and unforgettable. Thank you to the 104,000 people who came to see us play in Chicago this weekend. I LOVE YOU!!” Swift captioned the post with a picture of herself performing in the rain.
