The hype for carnival is real. This year was my first carnival, and while I knew carnival was a big tradition at CMU, I was still completely blown away by the spectacular transformation of the campus. The usual empty walkways outside Doherty were teeming with life, from kids weaving through the carnival game stands with cotton candy in their hands to older folks chuckling with each other, reminiscing their college days.
Registration tents, carnival games, and food stands lined the Cut.
Rides including the Arctic Plunge, Cobra, Dragon Wagon, Dizzy, and the Ferris Wheel extended from Doherty to the CFA Lawn.
