Wondering how you can keep the conversation about gun violence going? Trying to think of ways you can contribute but are not sure how?
No need to worry because there is an opportunity for you to do your civic duty this Friday!
On Friday, April 20, the anniversary of the Columbine shooting, students are encouraged to walk out of their classrooms at 10:00 a.m.
Afterwards, meet at the Thompson statue where there will be a speaker and people with voter registration forms to sign up new voters.
Brandon Wong, the student organizing the event, stated, “Regardless of political ideology we can all agree that there is a problem.”
Gun violence effects us all and is a rising epidemic in the United States. This walkout will be a bipartisan effort to keep the conversation going and hopefully bring about change.Â
