One of the best ways to manage stress is to pay attention to your daily routines, how you study, work your space, etc.! Here are some tips on how you can start making little changes to make your time and stress more manageable!
1. Get organized!
Get a planner, whiteboard calendar, sheet of paper, whatever! Write down your schedule for the week including meetings, homework, and long-term assignments! Nothing makes one less stressed than actually being able to see what you need to get done and when! This way you won’t accidentally miss important tasks and can plan accordingly.
2. Change up your environment!
A stagnant space can also mean a stagnant mind. Rotate your study spots, try a new place, study outside, or redecorate your space! This gets the mind engaged and inspired!
3. Think in single-space!
If you’re like me, writing essays is all a mental game. For one, I always type my essays in single-space. 10-page essay? That means 5 pages in single-space! And THAT is much more doable mentally.Â
4. Make plans!
Too often on campus do people waste their weekends with no plans. Instead, at the beginning of the week, plan something fun for the weekend. This gives you something to look forward to and motivate you to work hard during the week!
