Summer is coming up quicker than you think!  Get your summer body ready with the help from these fun and easy tips!

Set your goal!

  1. Have a schedule

If you have a schedule you can continuously have little wins towards to ultimate goal you have set.

     2. Write it down and keep reminders

Writing it down means you commit it to memory!  So keep the little reminders around to keep you moving towards your goal

     3. Go all out

If you want results, you have to put your all into it!  Don’t expect the results you want from half effort

Food to Eat

Make Healthy Food Choices

There are plenty of good food choices out there, you just have to make sure you don’t get bored with them!

Make sure to get plenty of color on your plate

Good options are…

  • Salads
  • Sandwiches
  • Greek Yogurt
  • Turkey burgers
  • Salmon

Pack your lunch

Going out to eat leaves you a little bit stranded when it comes to healthy choices!  So eliminate this problem and bring your own lunch with the right kinds of food

Limit simple carbs, and up your veggie and fruit intake

Good options are…

  • Spinach
  • Blueberries, Blackberries, Raspberries
  • Avocado
  • Pomegranate
  • Broccoli and Kale

Make sure you are still eating

It’s totally not okay to not eat!  It’s not healthy and you’re going to actually feel more tired from it!

Don’t feel like you can’t have sweets

We all love sweets, it’s okay to admit it.  In fact it’s really okay to have sweets 20% of the time!  Just make sure that 80% of the time you are eating the “right” foods.

Exercises

Get moving! Some good options are mountain climbers, jump rope, squats, and planks.

Water

If you don’t like the taste, try Mio or Crystal Lite Drinking plenty of water helps with acne too!

Always make sure to drink water before exercising to avoid cramps and dehydration.

Get enough sleep

If you’re too tired your cravings will be increased, so keep active during the day to make sure you get 7-8 hours per night! You will feel more energized every day!

Have fun with it!

Get some good workout music is so important. Spotify has lots of workout playlists for everyone’s music taste!

Trying new activities (Biking, Zumba, Swimming, Yoga) with friends is a blast! Make sure to check fitness classes being offered on campus and across Norman!

If you are looking for that killer summer body, you can do it! Just set your mind to it and you can achieve it!  Good luck and kick some butt!
