Here’s All the Drugstore Makeup Cardi B Wore in Her ‘Bartier Cardi’ Video

Expensive doesn’t always mean better in the world of makeup, especially with new drugstore finds popping up daily that convert everyone from celebrities to makeup artists to the average consumer. Cardi B just joined the affordability train for her latest music video, “Bartier Cardi.”

Although she’s is dressed in vintage Dior and enough diamonds to pay for your entire college tuition (and then some), Cardi proves that some killer drugstore finds can pull their weight and fit right in with the otherwise boujee and expensive look. Cardi went to Tokyo Stylez for her wigs and makeup artist Erika La’ Pearl to get all of her stunning looks in the video.

Fortunately, La’ Pearl didn’t just want to make Cardi beautiful for the video – she wants to help you too! Not one to keep secrets, La’ Pearl spilled all of the products that she used to create these classic, old-Hollywood looks. She told Refinery29, “I still prefer my drugstore finds. People are sending me all kinds of stuff, but I find myself hitting up the makeup aisle all the time.”

Here are all of the products that were used for Cardi’s stunning looks, just incase you want to copy:

L’ORÉAL Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation ($12.99 from Ulta Beauty)

La’ Pearl used this drugstore foundation as a base and buffed it in with some iconic Artis brushes.

HD Pro Concealer ($5 from L.A. Girl)

This highly rated concealer was used to cover any spots that Cardi had. However, La’ Pearl commented that she didn’t need it for much. “She has combination skin, and doesn’t really get all that oily. That’s one thing that I never have to worry about: sweating.”

Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Gel Eye Liner ($5.49 from Target)

Apparently this eyeliner does not move at all, which explains how Cardi’s classic cat eye slayed all day.

Take Me Back To Brazil – 35 Color Pressed Pigment Palette ($16.99 from BH Cosmetics)

An amazing range of shades and pigment!

Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Velvet Red in No. 2 ($37 from Chanel)

To match those “bloody shoes,” they used this high-end lipstick to get Cardi’s rep lip.

Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Ultimate Red ($20 from Ofra)

Just mix this liquid lipstick with the Chanel velvet lipstick to get the perfect red.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter ($44 from Sephora)

The lipstick wasn’t the only thing that La’ Pearl mixed to perfection. She explained, “Oh honey, I’m using at least five glows. I actually use a cream-based highlighter underneath her foundation. She doesn’t get enough sleep, so I do a glow all over so it hits everything.”

Stellar Lights Highlighter Palette in Holographic Beams ($13 from Milani Cosmetics)

La’ Pearl topped the Marc Jacobs gel highlighter off with this powder formula for the perfect glow.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water ($32 from Sephora)

While La’ Pearl doesn’t need to worry about Cardi’s skin getting too dewy, with all that highlight, it’s important to lock the look into place. La’ Pearl likes to use this Smashbox primer water to ensure that Cardi’s makeup stays flawless all day.

Goddess Lashes ($19.99 from Lilly Lashes)

For a bit of extra drama, La’ Pearl curled these lashes to make Cardi’s eyes look even bigger. When I first started wearing Lilly Lashes I couldn’t get my mind off of how heavy they felt on my eyelids. However, after a few wears, I was absolutely hooked! Now, after wearing them for almost a year, I don’t even feel them. If you’re on the fence about trying these lashes, I would encourage you to go for it!

Amore Matte Lip Crème in Stunning and Pretty ($9 from Milani Cosmetics)

Mix these two light shades and topped them off with a clear gloss to perfect Cardi’s second look. If you’ve learned one makeup trick from La’ Pearl, it’s to never be afraid to mix shades to find your ideal one.
