Even though spring break is a time to relax from the stressful day-to-day college lifestyle, it is inevitable that professors have assigned work to be done over break and expect you to have it completed upon returning to campus. Chances are you have forgotten all about these assignments while spending time with friends and family. Here are some tips on what to do when you forget about homework over spring break:
1. Freak out It is okay to freak out. Depending on the amount of coursework due, the freakout varies. Rant to your family, vent alone in your room, or anything that will assist in a successful freak out. Then, take a moment to calm down, relax and accept your fate because you have to get to work.
2. Make a list Create a list of all the assignments you have to complete for each class as well as when they are due. This will help you organize when to do assignments as well as help you ensure that you do not miss any work that is due.
3. Prioritize From the list that was just made, it will be clear as to what is due first. Make sure you have whatever is due first set as the top priority in the order of what work is completed when.
4. Get to work Most importantly, get to work as soon as you can. The faster you start, the faster you will complete the work. While this is not how you want to spend the end of break, rewarding yourself with breaks after completed assignments will help motivate you to finish.
It can be hard to remember to do work, especially during a break from classes. Set reminders in your phone, use a planner and try to stay on top of assigned work. There are only a couple weeks left of the semester so stay strong, work hard and impress your professors.
