Some familiar faces from Thor: Ragnarok will appear in a spinoff of Men in Black as Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson join the cast.
The film is still very much in-the-works, as there’s not much information out just yet. But, we do know it’s slated for a 2019 release, and it will be written by Matt Holloway and Art Marcum, who wrote Ironman, and directed by F. Gary Gray.
Tessa has also been dropping hints on Twitter that the spinoff will feature a more female-heavy cast, which is so exciting.

The plot also remains unknown at the moment, but there have been hints relating towards a more expansive cast and storyline, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “Akin to how Jurassic World revived the Jurassic Park film series, Sony’s reboot is to feature new characters rather than Agents K and J, portrayed by original trilogy stars Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith, respectively, and will build on the contemporary sci-fi world in which they operated,” THR states. “Details are being kept hidden under a New York City ventilation tower, but sources say the new project is more of an ensemble piece than a two-hander and will be more global in scope.”
We have a long wait to find out just how the movie will look, but I can tell you it already sounds awesome. I can’t wait to see how they evolve MIB.
