We all know that no one celebrates holidays quite like Atlanta – but when you live in such a busy city, it can be hard stay in the loop of all its happenings. With St. Patrick’s Day rapidly approaching, we decided to compile a list of events around the metro Atlanta area that are sure to make you feel like you’ve hit the *golden* jackpot.
1. Atlanta’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade
If you’re looking for a family-friendly event, the Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade is the perfect place to start. This event features groups from around the state such as clowns, Bagpipe and Drum Corps, drill teams, etc. and aims to educate people about contributions made by the Irish to the city of Atlanta and the South in general.
The parade will be held at noon on March 17th, 2018 and is free to see.

2. Fado’s Outdoor Block Party
Fado’s Irish Pub in Buckhead will be hosting an outdoor block party at the Buckhead Shops, featuring live music and outdoor bars. Tickets for the event start out at $20.
For those eager to get their Irish on, Fado’s will also be hosting a similar outdoor festival called ‘St. Practice Day’ on March 10th in preparation for St. Patty’s. Tickets for this event start out at just $10 and bundles for both days are also available.

3. Lepre*Con 2018
Another even being hosted to help get you feeling lucky is Lepre*Con 2018 from 2 p.m. – 2 a.m. on March 10th. This 21+ event will feature DJs, live bands, crazy costumes and green beer.

4. Green Mile Midtown Block Party
If you don’t feel like waiting til Saturday to get the celebrations underway, head over to Midtown’s Green Mile Block Party at 7 p.m. and go bar hopping through their 18 participating bars, clubs, and restaurants for Irish themed drinks and dishes!

5. 14th Annual Shamrock ‘N Roll Road Race
For those looking for fun ways to get fit this holiday, Atlanta’s Shamrock ‘N Roll Race is back for another year! You’re sure to see tons of green at Atlantic Station around 8:30 a.m. for the start of the 5 and 10k races and later at 10 a.m. for the 1k Kids’ Fun Run.
The race is free to watch and fees for participants range from $15-$40 depending on the race. Proceeds from the event will go towards the Junior League of Atlanta to aid their projects and programs.

6. Atlanta’s Irish Stroll
Join in on the fun this St. Patrick’s Day by heading over to register for this bar crawl event at the Daquiri Factory. From 12 p.m. – 2 a.m. you’ll stroll through participating bars (Tin Lizzy’s Cantina, G Midtown, and Zocalo Mexican Kitchen & Cantina to name a few) and enjoy a variety of drink specials or a classic Guinness.

7. Smyrna’s 15th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Fest
For our lucky #7 spot, the city of Smyrna invites you to celebrate with them from 11 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, March, 17th and Sunday, March 18th. They’ll be featuring live music, carnival games, and Irish car bombs. Tickets are $8 for one day or $15 for both.
