The Seminoles are back in action! Just as the sun started to creep up on Monday, new head coach Willie Taggart had his football team raring to go out on the training field. Sneak peeks of the six a.m. training sessions have been leaked on the Instagram pages of many of the players, and by the looks of it, there is no doubt that they mean business. Hashtags and references regarding “the chase” seem to be a common theme among all the social media posts, which alludes to a tactic unique to Coach Taggart. This will be one of the morning team workouts for football players until they start practicing by the playbook. Coach Taggart better identifies the drill as “the chase to greatness” and that is exactly what it is! With the new recruiting class and renovated coaching staff, big things are sure to come for Florida State Football and there is nothing but hype for what is soon to come!

As off-season workouts commence, the new and returning players have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with Taggart’s coaching style as well as the skills of the team as a whole. There will also be some make or break decisions based upon the performances of the players. One of the biggest disputes is in regard to who will be the starting quarterback this coming football season. Deondre Francois has made a full recovery and will likely be cleared to play this upcoming fall semester, however, James Blackman has a full season under his belt and is undoubtedly ready for another shot in the limelight.  Every moment counts for our new and improved team as they prepare for the 2018 football season.
