1. Make goals and hold yourself accountable.
Wear your workout clothes to class and head to the gym right after. By doing this you will be less likely to make excuses about heading to the gym because you’re already out and about.
2. Be reasonableÂ
Don’t try to do too much at one time. It’s hard to start working out five days a week right off the bat and keep up with it. Try working out twice a week or every other day and see what routine works best for your schedule.Â
3. Little things build into big thingsÂ
Drink more water and avoid things with lots of sugar or calories. Try putting less sugar in your coffee or even eliminating it entirely. It’s a small thing, but can be effective if you are a coffee lover like me and drink 2-3 cups a day.Â
4. Nothing will change unless you do
You can talk about how you want to be healthier as much as you want, but actions speak louder than words. Put in the effort and try to find motivation within yourself, and you may be surprised on what you can accomplish.
