Tis (Almost) the Season: 5 Early Christmas Markets to Get You in the Spirit!

It may still be November, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get in the Christmas spirit! We’ve rounded up 5 unique Christmas markets opening soon to get you excited for the most wonderful time of the year.

1. The Nutcracker Market

In support of the Nutcracker Fund, from November 30th to December 10th, over 100 exhibitors will be hosting the annual Nutcracker Market, selling local products as well as imported goods, making it the perfect place to start your Christmas shopping. This charitable Christmas market offers “convenient, festive and philanthropic holidays shopping!”

2. Holiday Pop-Up Book Fair

The Holiday Pop-Up Book Fair encourages book-lovers to browse, buy, and get books signed, just in time for the holidays!. Expect hundreds of new titles for sale, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, children’s books, award-winners and bestsellers.

3. African Christmas Market

The African Christmas Market returns for its fifth year from the 23rd-25th of November, showcasing African artisans, artists and entrepreneurs in a lively Christmas setting.

4. Sustainable Holiday Artisan Market

Concordia Greenhouse is host to the unique Sustainable Holiday Artisan Market on 28th November, 5pm-8pm, where you’ll find handmade items from a diversity of ecologically-friendly vendors. As well as free entry, visitors can get free tea – what more could you want?

5. Le petit Marché de Noël

On November 25th & 26th, the first edition of Le petit Marché de Noël, a market focused on “novelty”, will take place, displaying the latest products of local businesses & designers, including: “cookies, posters, spreads and jellies, macramé art, greeting cards, teas and coffees, wooly hats, decoration items, cushions, wooden toys, and many more gorgeous creations.” And if that isn’t enticing enough, there’s a selection of DIY workshops, food tastings, and much more.
