We all love and enjoy the holidays for different reasons. Some love them because they bring the family together, others enjoy their favorite foods and deserts, but others, myself included, can’t wait for the drama that unravels in every festivity. The hashtag #ThanksgivingClapbacks first appeared on Twitter a few years ago, and during this time of year it becomes wildly popular. Here’s why:
1. For that aunt who’s always commenting on your weight:
2. And for that other aunt who’s a little too invested in your love life:
3. A clapback for your overly critical cousin
4. For when your family starts pointing out your drinking habits
5. Spectating drama as a third party like:
6. Okay, seriously, there are too many nosy aunts:
7. At least we get a little variety with an uncle who’s noticing your new hair…style:
8. When your aunt tries to come for you, but you drag her uneducated butt
9. Again with the critical aunts! Y’all need to chill. My tattoos ain’t none of your concern.
10. And then there’s the same aunt, yet again asking about your love life:
Don’t keep quiet this Thanksgiving. Participate! Don’t let them walk over you with passive aggressive comments. Your sexist homophobic uncle?
