Let’s be honest—Halloween has got it going on. Christmas, Easter, The Fourth of July; all pale in comparison to its greatness. And here are 7 reasons why…
1. Costumes
Dressing up for one night with all your friends is everything. Whether you go for funny, spooky, or hot– Halloween gives everyone the chance to be creative!
2. Candy
Yes, during a lot of other holidays you get candy. But, Halloween let’s you eat massive amounts of it with your friends, without people judging you.
3. No obligation for presents
Is it just me, or do presents bother you too? Presents that are thoughtful and unnecessary are the kinds I like. But during Christmas time, a time that should be for family and friends and love, it always seems to be overshadowed by what people want for themselves, or need to give to someone else. Halloween is just about tricks, and treats, and fun!
4. No dumb music taking over the radio
This is another thing that kills me during Christmas time. I don’t need to listen to the same songs like Jingle Bells 600,000 times throughout the duration of the season. Be like Halloween; play the Monster Mash once, and be done with it. Thank you.
5. Perfect weather
No snow to make the weather too cold, no humidity to make you sweat– just nice fall leaves and the perfect temperature for activities. What could be better? Absolutely nothing.
6. Halloweentown, Hocus Pocus, and ABC Family’s (Freeform) 13 Nights of Halloween
These movies will never get old, and I will listen to Bette Midler sing “I Put a Spell on You” any day, any hour, any time. I know this contradicts my earlier statement of play the song once, but hey, all I’m saying is at least I make the choice to listen… it isn’t forced upon me when I’m listening to the radio. ‘Nuff said.
7. Pumpkin mania
Pumpkin spice, pumpkin picking, pumpkin ice cream, and pumpkin carving. Literally everything that is pumpkin is just better. Everyone should agree that the flavor is better than peeps or candy canes. It’s so good, I think people might actually start turning into them.
Any way you put it, Halloween is just the best. So get ready for some tricks and treats because we are only a couple weeks away!
