Homecoming 2017 is finally here! So you know what that means! Homecoming events, parties, games, and most importantly the homecoming tailgate. In case you were wondering what you should wear for this day filled with food, fun, and football, keep on reading for different options you could sport.

The Plaid Flannel

Of course, you cannot go wrong with a flannel. If you have a little school spirit, pick out a blue and white flannel. Pair the flannel with a cute fitted crop top and a pair of jeans or shorts, then you’re good to go. If you want to wear it another way, you can definitely tie the flannel around your waist.

DIY Georgia State Paraphernalia

Feeling kind of creative for this year homecoming tailgate? Here’s an easy way to create a crop top out of shirts that you already own from Georgia State.

First, take one of your old Georgia State T-shirts and lay the shirt on a flat surface. Next, cut the bottom of the shirt however short you wish your crop top to be. You can cut the bottom of the shirt however you want (ex. Straight across or in a V-Shape). When I cut my shirts, I always make sure I roll the hem of the shirt wherever I cut it from so that it looks nice and neat.

Once you’ve cut the bottom of your top, cut the neck of it about 2 inches or more away from the neckline to give it an off shoulder look. Once you’ve completed this, you are all done and have made your own cute crop top for the tailgate! For a better understanding of how to create this look click on this Youtube Video to learn how to do it.

The Bodysuit

This is my favorite look, especially when it’s hot outside. If you want to be different and do your own look, but not over do it, then this definitely for you. I would wear an off the shoulder bodysuit or a backless bodysuit with high waisted distressed jeans. It’s okay to be a little risky!

The Blue Jean Skirt

A blue jean skirt is always an option for a homecoming tailgate. If you wanna dress up for the day long festivities, then this is the outfit for you. First, pick the color you want your skirt to be. Next, you can pair it with a fitted Georgia State T-shirt or you can pair your skirt with a cute graphic T- shirt.

Once you’ve decided on the outfit, all you have to do is throw on some cute accessories, style your hair, throw on some eyeliner and highlight, and do not forget the shades! When you have all those things done, you are ready to enjoy Homecoming Tailgate!

Happy Homecoming 2017!
