Easy Listening Playlist.
Mental health day was last week and it was lovely how so many people celebrated this day. It’s important that we don’t just talk about these things just for these certain days, we need to be aware of this so much more than we are now! Its good that mental health is becoming a more approachable topic. There are services wherever we are that we can talk to about this, but I feel there is still more work that needs to be done. There is still so much stigma round this topic. We all have mental health, but some of us struggle with keeping this side of us healthy. We need to make this something we all feel confident talking about without any discrimination or stigma attached to it. Regardless of what day of the year it is, we need to be aware of mental health and illnesses.
Based on this theme, I have made a playlist designed to help unwind. This playlist is made up of pieces which are gentle and easy to listen to. Most of these songs are the calm, slow piece that compliments the rest of the album. Some of the other pieces have gentle pieces of music for most of their album. I always prefer this kind of music and I usually listen to these songs on a daily basis. Just like the studying playlist, its best to have this playing in the background.

Whether it lasts for a few days or you have a mental illness that affects your everyday life, it is incredibly important that you take care of yourself. If you are struggling, there are services that can help such as Samaritans (https://www.samaritans.org/), The Mental Health Foundation (https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/) and Mind (https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/types-of-mental-health-problems/depression/#.Weh80FtSzIU). There are so many articles on the Her Campus website too which are on mental health and illnesses.
Please know if you are feeling low or are struggling, please know that you are not alone and that there is help available!
Have a lovely week everyone!
