Cutting your hair short can be both an exciting, yet terrifying experience. There’s plenty of things to be excited about, like your new look or your hair being healthy again. However, there’s also plenty to be terrified about, like the stylist cutting your hair too short, the stylist accidentally cutting you, or you hating the new ‘do. I do believe that cutting your hair short, or should I say, really short, is overall a bittersweet experience. Here’s why:
The Advantages:
It’s Super Easy to Care For: You’ll understand once you go shopping for hair product every couple of months instead of every couple of weeks.
It’s Extremely Convenient for College Students: I can’t stress this enough. I, a super short hair veteran, am so grateful for not having to brush and comb through my hair every morning before class.
Summertime: Super short hair in the summertime is truly a gift if you’re absolutely sick of de-tangling your hair after it gets wet.
The Disadvantages:
Regret: There will be some point in time after you chop all your hair off, in which, you will experience regret. You will miss your long hair eventually. It’s inevitable.
The Wait: For it to grow back, of course! Hair doesn’t grow overnight!
Although it’s not an easy decision to make, chopping your hair off is beneficial in many ways. It’s up to you if you want to make the decision.
